Grangetown Star Performers (reg., Charity No: 1085286)

Performing A Saturday Night Programme for our Over Sixty Week-End

Their show consists of eleven performers (each with learning disabilities) who want to show their talents in miming and impersonating, various artistes of their choice. The aim of their constitution is to offer opportunities to people with a learning disability to join their group, and reap the obvious benefits, ie: community intergration, building self-esteem and confidence, raising the profile of all disabled groups, a small remuneration, and above all, meeting people and having lots of fun. Their shows are organised, and produced, by volunteer members of the staff from Grangetown Centre. They have been entertaining for more than two years, their venues have included elderly day / residential centres, social clubs, schools, hospitals, conferences and more...Kirklevington Rehabilitation Centre is a regular Christmas booking. Their show is a success totally due to the enthusiam and commitment of their performers. They are immensely proud of them, especially when they received a Nationwide award in recognition of their contribution to community intergration. Please do not miss the opportunity to see their very entertaining show, you will love it! For further information please call the centre on Tel: No: 01642 467849
