Junior Soldier Rachael Bell has been named winner of an annual  civic award for outstanding achievement and contribution to community life, by Wansbeck Council Rachael started raising money for the Macmillan cancer charity more than two years ago,when her grandfather, Ken Clelland was being cared for by nurses from the organisation. After her grandfather died, Rachael carried on with her charity work organising various fund raising events, making dolls and donating her own toys. She has raised many hundreds of pounds, and has also helped Northumberland's only full-time Macmillan worker.

Operation Christmas Child

As part of our community ministries commitment the Bedlington Corps has been involved in Operation Christmas Child for the past 6 years, filling boxes with gifts for children including orphans and refugees in Eastern Europe.  These pictures show children of the corps with just some of the boxes, along with Major Norman Armistead,
